Steeple RunRigsby Signature Homes' new $1.5 million Black Oak Manor model is one of the 22 houses featured in the Chicago Luxury Home Tour taking place Sept. 5-21.
The 6,555-square-foot model is in the Steeple Run development in New Lenox, on the east side of Marley Road, one mile north of Route 30 (Lincoln Highway).
The three-level Craftsman-style house overlooks a wooded conservation area. It is constructed with quarried stone and brick and includes four bedrooms, six baths, a full walkout basement and three-car garage.
The formal dining room is finished with crown molding, teak flooring and custom-milled trim. There is a large great room with a 20-foot cathedral ceiling, and a three-season room with fireplace, heated floor and bamboo wet bar.
Other touches include slate floors, a whole-house audio system, and a natural stone fireplace between the foyer and great room.
A first-floor master bedroom suite includes a barrel vault ceiling, crown molding, a wall of windows and a coffee bar. The private bath has an exercise area, a wall-mounted TV, two walk-in closets and a dressing room with built-in cabinetry.
The residence's 'hearth room,' with an 18-foot vaulted ceiling and stone fireplace, connects to an eat-in kitchen with commercial-grade appliances.
Upstairs are three bedroom suites with walk-in closets and private baths, and a loft with a vaulted ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling masonry fireplace and built-in cabinets and shelves.
The house also has an unfinished 3,710-square-foot walkout basement with heated concrete floor.
